Taxman's Taxes Option

Our ObamaNation has learned that Democratic Congressmen Charles Rangel who is chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee failed to pay taxes on several million dollars of income.

Senator Dobb and Treasury Secretary Geithner stated taxes are only for those not in power and see no reason Rangel should have to pay taxes.

Attorney General Holder added look laws are something that Democrats pass but they are only intended to punish those who are enemies of the Party.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs explained that President Obama is looking forward to campaigning for Rangel's reelection. Gibbs added the President understands that if elected office is limited to those that pay their taxes then it would be simply impossible for Democrats to serve.

Empty Suit

Treasurer Geithner, as is the rule with many members of the Obama administration, is proving to be just another empty suit with an empty plan who does not pay his taxes.

High Ethics Like High Taxes Ignored

President Obama speaking in Indiana stated ethics are like taxes we Democrats set them high with absolutely no intention of paying either.

A spokesperson for the President added paying taxes and having ethics are for losers and Obama and the Democrats won the election.

A spokesperson for Treasurer Geithner stated that we cannot allow ethics to get in the way of fighting this economy crisis that Congress is making worse every day in every way.

Another 2 Bite the Dust

Nancy Killefer, whom President Obama had named performance expert at the White House budget office, withdrew her nomination when it came to light that in 2005 she had also run afoul of the tax laws. Tom Daschle, who had much worse tax and ethics problems, followed by withdrawing his nomination for Department of Health and Human Services.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner wonders why paying taxes is an important consideration since spending what we do not have is seemingly what government does best.

Democrat Nancy Pelosi wonders what is going wrong when President Obama has 2000 Democrats a day withdraw their nominations for positions in the Obama administration.

When I Have Time

Our Obamanation has learned that Treasury Secretary Geithner plans to devote his full attention to the current economic crisis as soon as he is able to figure out his taxes for last year. The Treasure has assured Our ObamaNation that he is sure he will have the tax software loaded onto the computer he is planning to purchase no later than mid February. Geithner is certain he has the necessary paper work needed to complete his taxes packed away somewhere.

Update: A spokesperson for Treasury Secretary Geithner has assured Our Obamanation that the Treasurer has no plans to take timeout from his busy schedule to file his taxes.
