The Fairy Tale Government Intervention

An Our ObamaNation Fairy Tale

Once upon a time circa 1930 the government intervened in the economy causing "within six months unemployment to shot up into double digits — and stayed in double digits in every month throughout the entire remainder of the 1930s, as the Roosevelt administration expanded federal intervention far beyond what Hoover had started" as written by Thomas Sowell.

The One being clueless intervened in the economy in 2009 causing within months unemployment to shot up into double digits — and stay near double digits in every month after his reckless action.

Government intervention destroys America but greatly empowers those that govern to control us small people.

The Fairy Tale President

An Our ObamaNation Fairy Tale

Once upon a time there was a very Harvard educated but totally clueless President who used crude oil, found on the Gulf beaches, to paint his face black.

This President cared little about the small people but very much liked to read out loud to the small people, using a very clear and convincing voice, whatever was written on his teleprompter.

This President very much liked to spend other people's money, go to party after party that other people funded, bow graciously to every foreigner he met, and to rack up large amounts of public debt for no apparent purpose except seeing how many trillions he could simply waste.

This President, who thought of himself more as the King of all his small subjects, seemed to totally lack any command level skills and seemed to think acquiring such skills was simply beneath him for he was the grand visionary.

This Grand Visionary, who was elected as President and ruled as King of his small subjects, became bored at being the mere King of a kingdom he did not particularly like in fact in most senses a kingdom he actually despised.

Buy Big Care Small

An Our ObamaNation News Brief

BP CEO Hawyard declared "we care about small people" and we buy the big people.

Hayward added he agrees with President Obama that windmills and 20 billion is the best way to manage the oil spill in the Gulf. Hayward stated that like the President he believes that the small people will be better off once this mess is simply forgotten.

Hayward stated that paying Obama one billion dollars per minute was a good investment in preserving the President's continued support. Hayward added that BP has already invested in the President and the top members of the Obama administration and looks forward to working with them to bring Cap and Trade to the small people.

The O is for Zero. The B is for Bad.

An Our ObamaNation News Brief

Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Howard Fineman react to President Obama's Oval Office Address on the oil spill. Here are the highlights of what the trio said:

Olbermann: "It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days."

Matthews compared Obama to Carter.

Olbermann: "Nothing specific at all was said."

Matthews: "No direction."

Howard Fineman: "He wasn't specific enough."

Olbermann: "I don't think he aimed low, I don't think he aimed at all. It's startling."

Howard Fineman: Obama should be acting like a "commander-in-chief."

Matthews: Ludicrous that he keeps saying [Secretary of Energy] Chu has a Nobel prize. "I'll barf if he does it one more time."

Matthews: "A lot of meritocracy, a lot of blue ribbon talk."

Matthews: "I don't sense executive command."

What's your next trick?
Now that you have made liberty disappear.

Now that you have spoiled all we hold dear.
