Another 2 Bite the Dust

Nancy Killefer, whom President Obama had named performance expert at the White House budget office, withdrew her nomination when it came to light that in 2005 she had also run afoul of the tax laws. Tom Daschle, who had much worse tax and ethics problems, followed by withdrawing his nomination for Department of Health and Human Services.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner wonders why paying taxes is an important consideration since spending what we do not have is seemingly what government does best.

Democrat Nancy Pelosi wonders what is going wrong when President Obama has 2000 Democrats a day withdraw their nominations for positions in the Obama administration.
